Project 2_Carolina
Vision: My logo is designed for a yoga/wellness studio. I chose a green and neutrals color scheme (some of the bottom circles). This is the start of my first design and ideas for my other two can be seen in my sketchbook. So far I've mainly used the pen tool, shape tool, width tool, and the direct selection tool to manipulate the anchor points of my paths. I've also used the eyedropper to replicate colors in my design.
Business Card: For my business card, I made two designs, one vertical and one horizontal. For these cards, I used the shapes tool, line tool, and anchor tool to manipulate anchor points. I decided to use the vertical concept as my final business card design. The front has the logo displayed as the main component and the brand name below it, as well as the 3 purposes of the business listed along the top. The back has the address, phone number, and email of the business as well as a QR code for consumers to scan to be taken to the business' website. I also incorporated the swirl design from one of the logo concepts into the business card.
Letterhead: For the letterhead, I copied over the logo, company name, purpose, address, and contact information from the cards. I also took the element of the curved lines around the top and bottom of the business card and applied them to the letterhead. I made them thicker and had them fill in the corners of the top and bottom of the paper using the curvature tool to edit the middle anchor point of a rectangle shape. I put the logo, name, and purpose centered at the top and the address and contact information along the bottom inside the curve. I also colored them with the eyedropper to match the logo of the pot, green on top and an orange-brown shade on the bottom.
Envelope: For the envelope, I made a rectangle using the given dimensions of the envelope design. I copied over the logo, name, purpose, and address. I also took a curved rectangle from the letterhead and sliced it in half with the scissors tool so that I could alter the colors. I did the top half green and the bottom half the same orange-brown color to mimic the color scheme of the logo.
